My Kid’s School in the New York Times!

Admittedly, this article is about attempts to re-organize that byzantine San Francisco school assignment process, but I’m thrilled that our school is featured. Looks lovely to boot.

And my friend Ellen can be seen helping a kid out of a car as part of our groovy “Stop, Drop, and Roll” drop off system that helps urban parents to deal with getting their kids into the school safely in the middle of the Castro.

And a quick plug for SF public schools:  “One of the strengths of the San Francisco schools is their ambitious language programs. And test scores from San Francisco public schools have regularly risen over the last decade, and are now within shouting distance of the state’s performance targets, lagging slightly behind San Jose but well ahead of Oakland and Los Angeles.”

Love it!
